Briana quickly walked away from Le Bernardin, mad as hell! She walked down two blocks with hot tears in her eyes that were threatening to fall, but she kept blinking them back. No need for the paparazzi to snap pictures of her having an emotional breakdown in the middle of New York City. Briana rounded the corner of the third block and called a car to pick her up and take her to a New York-based music studio, for her three o'clock recording session. She needed to be around something she loved more than Tyler...her music.

On the way to the studio, Briana sat in the back of the car thinking. She would always think about what she did after she did them, rather than before...a severe flaw of hers. Briana always thought about what she could have said or could have done differently, after the fact. She couldn't help it...she was a quick reactor. At this point, Briana wished she had just kept her cool when she was talking to Gelila. She wanted to tell her she could have Tyler, because Briana was sick of his shit. She began to realize over the years that loving Tyler was just not worth it anymore. Not worth the the headache. The heartache. The tears. The fights. The lies.

But Briana couldn't help reminiscing on the good times with Tyler. When she first met him and he invited her to dinner with the rest of the cast from one of his plays, Briana remembered flirting with each other and laughing at each other's jokes. She remembered their first kiss, shared standing out on a hotel suite balcony on a quiet rainy night. The first time Tyler said he loved her, whispering the words sweetly in her ear during a warm embrace, backstage at one of her concerts. Briana remembered the prayers of strength they prayed for each other, the late night scripture readings over the phone, and the heartfelt confessions of their past to one another, and that's when Briana started to get pissed all over again! How could Tyler tell someone else her business? She was sure Tyler wouldn't want her telling someone everything HE'S done in the past. Now, Tyler's probably got Gelila thinking that Briana's loose and that she just sleeps with a whole bunch of men, when Tyler probably didn't share what REALLY happened. Or did he...? "Oh, God...I hope not." Briana thought to herself.

Tears began to stream down Briana's face as she remembered all the terrible things that happened to her in the past. Her older boy cousin that would touch her while watching "videos" when she was just ten years old, losing her virginity when she was fourteen, to a senior who didn't even know her name, the preacher who took advantage of her in the actual church one night after bible study when she was seventeen, the associate pastor of the same church, whom she found herself with in his hotel room a year later at a church school convention, the gang rape at a frat house her freshman year of college, being called a "bitch" during sex for her old college boyfriend's kinky pleasure, and the nameless, faceless men she's slept with since, because she had lost all of her self respect. It wasn't until she got her wake-up call from God, that she realized how special she was and what an amazing gift of song He had blessed her with.

Still, Briana was fearful that she would never have a decent relationship with a man because of her demons from the past, and that's why she couldn't let go of Tyler...he was safe. He's had an about as horrible past as she's had, and they could keep each other's secrets...or so she thought...

Wiping the tears away from her face, Briana realized she wouldn't feel any better until she knew the truth about what exactly was shared with Gelila. She wasn't even upset anymore about being tricked into a "lunch date", or witnessing Gelila trying to get on her "grown woman"...that part almost amused her, but finding out that Tyler had been talking to Gelila about her past, made Briana question his loyalty as a friend.

Briana picked up her cell phone and called Tyler:

TYLER: (hearing his cell phone vibrate, looked down at the caller ID and saw Briana's name, and for some strange reason, began to feel a little nervous. He answered after taking a deep breath)
"Briana, let me just say this. I'm going to handle Gelila..."
BRIANA: (interrupting Tyler) "What all did you tell her?"
TYLER: "What?"
BRIANA: (talking slowly) "What all did you tell her about me?
TYLER: "What do you mean?"
BRIANA: (remaining silent on the other end of the phone)
TYLER: "I never told her that me and her were getting married, if that's what you're talking about. Me and her are not getting married, Briana."
BRIANA: (shaking her head as if Tyler could see her) "That's not what I'm taking about. I hung up with you because I felt it was stupid to keep you on speaker, but maybe I should have, so you could have heard what else she said."
TYLER: (closing his eyes and shaking his head, because he knew Briana's and Gelila's conversation didn't end where his and Briana's earlier phone call did. He hesitantly asked) "What else did she say?"
BRIANA: "She told me how you told her all about my college days."
TYLER: (inhaled deeply, placing his hand on his forehead and running it slowly down his face as he leaned back in his chair) "Briana..."
BRIANA: "Did you tell her about what happened?"
TYLER: "Briana, let me tell you the situation before you..."
BRIANA: (shouts) "DID YOU!?"
TYLER: "I told her that..." (stopping, because he knew that if he told Briana that he said anything to anybody about her past, even if it was a little bit, it wouldn't make it any better. He knew he was wrong, and he would just be digging himself a deeper hole, but how was he going to dig his way out?) "Briana...I didn't tell her everything. Okay? I only said that..."(he could hear Briana crying on the other end of the phone and it pulled at his heart) "Briana, please listen to me."
BRIANA: (sniffing) "I can't believe you would even say anything at all! Why are you talking to her about..."
TYLER: "Briana, listen..."
BRIANA: (yelling) "No. Fuck you! I don't have to listen to you!"
TYLER: "I did not tell her everything. I only told her..."
BRIANA: (getting louder) "The fact that you were even talking to her about it, in the first place, makes you wrong! I don't care what you said. You told her something for her to throw that shit in my face! I can not believe you! Do you know how that makes me feel? For your girlfriend to say some shit like that to me? (mocking Gelila's voice) "Tyler told me all about your college days." "I bet you did!"
TYLER: "I didn't."
BRIANA: "Whatever! Tyler, look. If you're gonna be with her, then fine! Be with her. Marry her. Fuck her. Have your babies. But keep my name out of your mouth! (takes a quick pause) I'm so sick of you! (starts to cry angry tears)
TYLER: (says quietly) "Briana, I'm sorry."

Click! Briana ended their phone call. Tyler removed his cell phone from his ear and sighed a very heavy sigh He rubbed his thumb slowly over the screen of his cell phone as he stared down at it. Tyler could feel Briana slipping away from him and he didn't know what to do. He couldn't let that happen. He wouldn't let hat happen. Tyler had to find some way to reach out to Briana. He knew calling her would be useless at this point. Who knows how long her silent treatment would last this time, but Tyler was no stranger to dropping by Briana's house or showing up to her concerts. Either, way, he would soon make a way to see her face to face and explain himself.

Tyler had no intention of physically hurting Gelila, tonight, when he saw her...he just wanted to scare her enough to never do what she did today, ever again, but knowing that she hurt Briana with sensitive information, gave Tyler all the more ammunition to do so...
