Tyler walked in his house stepping on pieces of glass, in complete shock. The house was brand new; he'd only had it for about half a year, but the sight before him would have suggested otherwise. Tyler took one look at all the overturned furniture and the red stained carpet and was absolutely livid! "That bitch!" was all he could say as he stormed through the rest of his house greeted by disaster after disaster.
Tyler quickly walked into his study fearful of the same outcome, and he was right; more broken glass and papers from his desk decorated the floor. His head began to pound and his vision was blurred in shear anger; it took all he had to keep from punching a hole through the wall. Tyler's hands shook as he bent down to pick up all his important paperwork, contracts, and script notes off the floor around his desk, and tried his best to salvage them and put them back in order. "I'm gonna kill her, I swear to God!" he said out loud. Angry tears started to form in Tyler's eyes as he wondered what could make a person trash his house like this.
Tyler couldn't focus; he would pick up and drop some of the same papers he had just placed on his desk, and he was getting more and more upset by the second. Frustrated, Tyler flung the handful of papers he held, across the room, slammed his hands on the desk, tempted to flip it over himself, and hung his head. He sat down in his desk chair and burried his head in his hands, allowing a few tears to fall. The night had completely drained him. The drinking, the fight with Gelila, the accident on the road...everything was really starting to take its toll. Tyler was way too tired to even begin to make his house look halfway decent again, so he slowly got up and walked out of his study, taking all of the ill feelings he had and buried them deep inside for later, something he does often. Tyler groaned and closed his eyes at the mere thought of what his upstairs must have looked like and wondered if it compared to anything downstairs.
He slowly walked into his bedroom, not sure of how much more vandelism he could take. Tyler flicked on the lights and surveyed the room. It was better than he expected it to be; the sheets from his bed were all over the floor, but at least there was no broken glass or stained carpet.
He noticed there was something in the middle of his bed and walked towards it. Recognizing it as a purchase he made a couple of years ago, Tyler quickly snatched up the small black velvet box, praying that the ring he bought for Briana was still there, but something told him that he would be a fool to believe that it would be, and sure enough when he opened it, he found only a note that read: FINDERS KEEPERS. Tyler closed the box and clenched it tightly in his fist, letting out a loud groan in anguish. Not only had Gelila trashed his house, but she took something that did not belong to her. He threw the small black velvet box, along with the note, across the room, and paced like a caged animal. Tyler could feel more tears threatening to fall, so he took a deep breath and sat on the side of his bed. "My life can not be this bad." he thought to himself as he tried to calm down.
Tyler was sure the ring was long gone, along with Gelila, and out of pure habit, felt the urge to call Briana, to tell her everything he was dealing with. He needed her support because no matter what, she always kept it real with him. Tyler was sure Briana would have told him to call the police or to go after Gelila himself. But knowing that she wouldn't pick up made him feel he had no one to turn to. Suddenly, his house phone rang, abruptly interupting Tyler's thoughts and the slience that floated throughout the house. His heart jump, startled at the sound. Only a few people had his home telephone number and he wondered who it could have been calling him this late at night. Had he willed Briana to call? Was it Gelila? Anxious to find out, Tyler reached over and picked up the phone from his nightstand.
TYLER : "Hello?"
DENISE : (whispering low on the phone) "Hey, Tyler. Sorry to bother you, I know it's late, but I just...I needed someone to talk to.
TYLER : (dissapointed that it wasn't Briana or Gelila, but was unexpectedly surprised that it was Denise) "Is everything okay?"
DENISE : "Yeah. I guess. I just got into this huge argument with my husband...over money, and me not being there, and me wanting us to move permanently to Atlanta, and he doesn't want to...and...just ...everything." (sighs)
TYLER : (sat slient on the phone)
DENISE : "Why can't I just have a good night's sleep without him always bringing these things up? You know? To just not worry about anything."
TYLER : (still silent)
DENISE : "Are you stll there?"
TYLER : "Yeah."
DENISE : "If you're busy, I'm sorry. I understand. I know it's late..."
TYLER : "No, no. I know exactly what you mean. I got a lot going on here too, that I wish I didn't have to worry about."
DENISE : "Look at me going on about my little problems. They probably don't even compare to yours, huh?" (laughing lightly) "Is everything okay with you? Did you ever get that thing straightened out with your ex and your girlfriend?"
(just the simple mention of those two, brought all the drama that Tyler tried to supress, flooding back to the forefront of his mind, and he realized that there was no way he could stay in his house tonight)
TYLER : "You know what? I was actually about to leave."
DENISE : "Oh."
TYLER : "I'm going to the Embassy Suites tonight and you're more than welcomed to join me. I'll leave word at the front desk that I'm expecting a guest...if you'd like to come. We can talk there."
DENISE : "Sounds good."
(and with that, their call ended)
Tyler , still shook up from the incident he had on the road earlier, decided to call a cab to take him to the hotel. He grabbed his overnight bag, that he always had packed, out of his walk-in closet and headed out the door, thankful that Gelila had left that part of his house alone, but still pissed and disgusted with the way the other parts of his house looked. Tyler planned to deal with everything in the morning with a clear head.

Denise slid the key card the front desk had given her in above the hotel room door handle, and waited until it turned green, allowing her access into the suite. She quietly stepped inside, and was greeted by the sound of the shower. She slipped out of her heels and left them by the door. Making her way towards the bathroom, Denise inhaled the scent of Tyler's masculine body wash and was tempted to join him, but soon the running water stopped. Denise backed away from the bathroom door and walked towards the bedroom, unbuttoning the trench coat style jacket she wore over a very sexy negligee.
Tyler walked out of the bathroom towards the bedroom wrapped only in a towel, his upper body still a little damp. He looked at Denise as she stood in the middle of the room, looking absolutely amazing .
TYLER : "So, you made it..."
DENISE : (sat on the bed and crossed her legs) "Yep."
TYLER : (moving towards her) "You okay?"
DENISE : (nodding her head) "Yeah, I'm okay. That's just what married people do...we argue. (paused briefly) "But, I wanna focus on you." (reached for Tyler's hand, discretely placing a condom in his palm, and pulled him towards the bed, where he took a seat on the side. She knelt behind him and slowly massaged his shoulders, tilting her head downwards so the soft waves in her hair lightly brushed the side of Tyler's face) "Is everything okay with you? You didn't sound all that great on the phone."
TYLER : "I could be a lot better."
DENISE : "Hmm. Is that so?" (continuing with her seductive massage)
TYLER : "Yeah." (closing his eyes, enjoying the feeling) "I'm like you. Can't I just get a good night's sleep without having to deal with any shit?"
DENISE : (whispering in Tyler's ear) "You can have a great night's sleep." (placing soft kisses all along Tyler's neck)
Tyler, giving in to the sensation crawling through his body, turned around slighlty, so he could kiss Denise full on. He placed his strong hands on each side of her face and deepened their kiss, guiding her body around to the front of his, where she sat on top of his lap in a straddling position. They continued to kiss as Tyler's hands moved slowly down Denise's shoulders, breasts, back, and waist. Reversing the motion, he slid his hands along her beautiful soft thighs, pushing back the black lace material that covered them, pleasantly surprised to find she had on nothing underneath. Returning the same sensation Denise had given him, Tyler softly kissed her on her neck, wrapping both arms around her waist, as he turned towards the bed and laid her on her back. He raised his body a bit, removing the towel he had on, replaced himself with protection, and slowly settled between her legs.

Tyler was determined to forget the past twelve hours of his life, and with the long passionate night he and Denise shared, he was definitely able to take his mind off of everything...
